Polyvinyl Chloride PVC
INTRODUCTION TO PVC
PVC, the abbreviation for Polyvinyl Chloride, is a rather important thermoplast in the polymer world as it is often used for cable sheating, tubing pipes and other end uses with long life cycle.
PVC is resistant against nonpolar solvents, not so however when it comes to polar ones. Furthermore, oxidizing acids are weakening PVC as well as radiation like gamma or UV.
