Airtextured or taslanized yarns are yarns that are have been treated with the airtexturizing machine. With this treatment, yarns are fed into a small air jet nozzle. High pressure creates then a suction as well as a turbulent airstream which entangles the filaments of the yarns. The result is a voluminous but non-elastic yarn that feels similar to a spun yarn thanks to an improvement hairyness.
Airtexturizing is only to be applied for endless filament yarns as the purpose of airtexturizing it is to transform yarns with a stiff and smooth surface into "hairier" ones.
