Polyamide 4.6 PA46
INTRODUCTION TO POLYAMIDE 4.6
Polyamide 4.6, belonging to the Nylon family, is a heatresistant polymer. It is synthesized by polymerizing 1,4.diaminobutane with adipic acid.
Although it is similar to Polyamide 6 or Polyamide 6.6 from a chemical point of view, it is characterized by better dimensional stability. This leads to a higher melting point as well as a higher degree of cristalinity, enabling Polyamide 4.6 for high performance application in the automobile or electronic fields.
