HDPE monofilament is available in the following colours:
UV STABILIZING OF HDPE MONOFILAMENTS
The breaking strength of HDPE monofilament is reduced by UV emposure. The reduction of breaking strength depends on exposure time, exposure intensity, temperature, chemical and mechanical influences. Therefore exact values of the impact cannot be forecasted.
1 Kly = Kilo-Langley = 1000 Langley
(Langley is the unit of irradtiation energy; = 1 Kcal/cm^2)
The reduction of the breaking strength is measured in numbers of years which pass until the breaking strength has reduced 50% of its original value.
Experience and lab tests on Xenotest 1200 provide the following values for monofilament in natural colours:
Northern Europe | Central Europe | Southern Europe | Middle East | |
Exposure / year |
70 - 80 Kly | 80 - 100 Kly | 100 - 140 Kly | 160 - 180 Kly |
