ECTFE
INTRODUCTION TO ECTFE
ECTFE is the abbreviation for "ethylene chloro-tri-fluro-ethylene". ECTFE is a polymer that is of high chemical resistance, flame retardant ( LOI > 50) and can be used in a wide range of continuous operating temperature (-75°C to 150°C), similar to PTFE. In contrary to PTFE, ECTFE in fiber form can be crimped, enabling it to be used in non wovens.
The range of application for ECTFE yarn or fibers mainly consists of filtration membranes.
